ARTWORK
A smattering of ongoing projects.
A soup-to-nuts (bowl-to-spoon?) design project featuring original characters, logos and packaging mock-ups for imaginary cereal based on General Mills' classic Monster Cereals.
Paintings of acrylic and watercolor, random sketches, and more.
A series of 12x18" typographic prints using varies weights of Gotham typeface to recreate portraits of iconic Batman characters from film and television, all using key symbols and characters specific to each hero and villain.
Foogos (food + logos) was my first foray into art in my adult life. It started as a silly idea and ultimately wound up with its 15 minutes of internet fame, landing on the front page of Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard, Yahoo, and AOL, among other digital outlets, as well as in print within WWE Magazine and Sports Illustrated.
A series of pen and ink sketches of some of National Hockey League goaltenders.
Ambitiously attempting to paint every Muppet to have ever appeared, I developed my painting style – a mix of Impressionism and Pointillism – with these portraits. Though this gallery is expansive, it only represents a fraction of my Muppeture.
Reclaiming abandoned wood (usually palettes) and breathing new life into them with the power of fire. It's always a mystery as to what color the smoke will be from woodburning, and how badly it will sting the eyes. Wear protection.
The pain in my neck and back from creating these pieces by upcycling trash comics and garbage magazine is usually worth it when I see the final result.
